Instead of going to Glen Brittle, we have decided to go to Uig instead so we don’t have to get up so early in the morning for the ferry. Mind you, the showers at this camp site are bliss.

We’re getting the ferry tomorrow to Outer Hepridies at stupid O’clock in the morning. Currently cooking dinner (sausage and smash) which after another long day travelling will be very rewarding.

A visit to the Castle on the straight of Skye ends in disaster after we were chased out of the castle by the Scots Guards after Jake was caught peeing in an antique flower pot.

The RAF Big Yellow Taxi has come to pick Lee up off the side of Ben Nevis after he decided it would be funny to attempt some ghyll scrambling.

Na, just kidding. But it was very interesting having the helicopter land nearly on top of us (thank you to the guy from Mountain Rescue who warned us to move else we would have got squashed – we were under the bothi bag at the time).

We all made it to the top of Ben Nevis and back down apart from Dave (valid medical excuse) and Pete (wimping out making nonsecal excuses).

Going for an Indian now in Fort William before catching up on some sleep. Another long drive to Skye tomorrow whilst going hunting for the Loch Ness Monster.

We arrived at our first campsite around 8:30PM last night, but it was hammering it down with rain and we had little hours of daylight left so really couldn’t be bothered to post an update.

Today, it’s still hammering down with rain, so we’ve decided the sensible option is to climb Ben Nevis. I’ll let you know how we get on when if we get back down.

Just driving through the highlands – probably just under an hour to go until we arrive. Meanwhile, let me share a photo.

We’ve arrived at Gretna Green to marry two of the squirrels. We’re not sure who cookie dough has fallen for yet, so we may take the option of doing a traditional Tibetan wedding and marry her to all three.

Meanwhile, Secret Squirrel (formerly daddy squirrel) is practising his weight lifting (see photo below).

A ridiculously early start; nearly in bed for at least another 8 years but the McDonald’s coffee seems to be doing the trick. Unfortunately, it does appear that I can’t charge this netbook using this dodgy in-car electric setup, so a expensive shop in the services is in order I think.

1 hour into the journey and Slaggy Squirrel and Posh Squirrel are asleep in the back of the car, but with daddy squirrel driving at 50mph that’s hardly surprising.
